UOPH:
The University of Perpetual Help System (UoPH) is a
highly recognised institute offering higher education and located in Las-Pinas
city, Metro Manila. It is a co-educational institution and was founded in 1975.
The University of Perpetual Help has 3 campuses in Las Pinas, Molino and
Calamba. Over 20,000 students study in
these
campuses, complemented by over 1000 faculty and support staff. The university
has an excellent alumni network in both Philippines and the United States.
The Jonelta Foundation School of Medicine functions under UoPH and offers
the Doctor of Medicine or MD degree which is equivalent to MBBS in India. The
degree is recognised by the Medical Council of India and the degree and the
institution are listed in WHO, IMED, FAIMER and ECFMG directories.
The Las Pinas campus is spread over four hectares
and houses all the offices, lecture halls, anatomy dissection laboratories,
animal research laboratories, library, hostel, canteens, play grounds and hospital.
Lecture halls are equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities and are fully air-conditioned.
Wi-fi and internet facilities are available on campus and the University has
affiliations with leading hospitals. Three canteens are available and they
offer both South and North Indian food.
The university has its own high-tech and
well-equipped hospital named the University of Perpetual Help DALTA Medical
Centre. It has over 500 beds. Super specialization in specialties such as
Nephrology is available in the Las Pinas Campus. A large number of patients
come to the hospital, thereby offering good exposure and interaction for
students.
